Kayla Smith

Undergraduate Student


Kayla Smith is an undergraduate student from the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. She is a senior majoring in Chemical Engineering and works in Dr. Zhou’s group. Her responsibilities include collaborating with other undergraduate students to organize exhibition booths. These booths are intended to provide a comprehensive first impression of the work conducted by students in the labs. On a more technical level, her research focuses on discovering ways to advance fuel cell technology. Specifically, she is exploring parameters that can impact the performance of high-temperature Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel Cells. Her hobbies include, running and spending evenings working out with her Club Track and Field teammates.
